At WorkBC Vernon, we recognize that each employment journey is unique. Our one-to-one employment services are here to help you find work with compassion and care. We're here to support you and your new employer to ensure job success, including 52-weeks of follow-up support.

What are One-to-One Employment Services?

Our one-to-one employment services provide you with a dedicated career advisor who understands your unique strengths, goals, and challenges.  

How Can We Help Job Seekers?

If you are unemployed or under employed, you could be eligible for one-to-one case managed services with WorkBC Vernon that include:

  1. Personalized Guidance: Your dedicated case manager will work closely with you to assess your skills, interests, and goals. Together, you'll create a plan that outlines the steps needed to reach your employment goals.
  2. Skill Enhancement: We offer various workshops, training programs, and  opportunities to help you build your skills and improve your job search outcomes.
  3. Ongoing Support: Your case manager will provide continuous support, helping you work through challenges, refine your job search, and ensure your long-term success, including after you start a new job.

Skills Training

Skills Enhancement Training Services assist eligible clients to obtain the skills necessary to find work by taking training that may range from:

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE)
  • Academic Upgrading
  • Occupational Skills Training (certificate or diploma)
  • Short Duration Training (FoodSafe, First Aid, etc).

Wage Subsidy

The WorkBC Wage Subsidy program covers a part of employee wages so employers can hire job seekers and provide work opportunities.

Both unemployed individuals and employers in B.C. can benefit from WorkBC Wage Subsidy.
