The Bridges Pre-Employment Life Skills Program is more than just a workshop; it's a support system for women navigating barriers on their path to employment. In the span of 6 weeks, you'll embark on a journey of personal and professional growth.

First Impressions

This session explores key interactions with potential employers and colleagues during the job search, emphasizing the importance of making strong first impressions throughout the process.

It also covers communication styles, non-verbal cues, and how to leave a job professionally.

Job Action - 5 days

The Job Action workshop will give participants the inside scoop on how to find opportunities in the hidden job market and make a lasting impression with powerful resumes, cover letters, and online profiles. Participants will also learn proven techniques for successful cold calls, self-marketing, and networking to get their foot in the door and land the interview. The Job Action Workshop also covers how to master job interview and the follow-up process, so participants can confidently secure their next role

Cash Class - 4 days

This 4-day workshop is for Case Managed clients to help improve their Personal Financial Management Skills. Topics covered in this workshop include personal and professional goals and values as well as the benefits of budgeting. Workshop participants will start to create a personal budget through practical training and activities.

Creating Career Possibilities (CCP) - four days

The Creating Career Possibilities (CCP) workshop helps participants identify their career interests and passions. This workshop also explores personality strengths, weaknesses, and other characteristics. CCP also helps participants narrow down their key values, ideal work environment, and any potential roadblocks. Finally, participants will also learn how to research the job market to find and pursue viable career options.

Intro to Resumes

This dynamic workshop teaches you how to craft a standout resume tailored for today’s competitive job market.

You'll learn how to navigate ATS and AI tools, master formatting, avoid common pitfalls, and effectively showcase your transferable skills.

Ready, Set, Work - 3 weeks

Ready, Set, Work is a 3-week interactive workshop designed to give participants the real-life tools you need to succeed in the workplace. Learn how to manage challenges, set boundaries, communicate effectively, and become the kind of employee employers want on their team. This isn’t your average job prep; we’re going deeper. This workshop will help participants strengthen their self-awareness, build resilience and accountability, and discover their unique communication style. Participants will also practice stress management and adaptability while learning key time management and workplace expectations.

Interview Skills

This session covers strategies for successful interview preparation, including how to highlight transferable skills and respond to common and behavioral questions.

It also explores the overall interview experience and how to engage effectively throughout the process.
